A booking site that sells the experience, not just the dates
Envy run private guided tours to Milford Sound, with Tesla transport and a genuinely premium feel. That is a considered, high-value purchase, the kind people research and think about rather than buy on impulse. The site had to carry the exclusivity end to end, and make booking a premium day out feel like part of the experience rather than wrestling a generic calendar.
What we did
We built it on custom WordPress rather than a template. Each tour runs on a dynamic page structure, itinerary, inclusions, gallery, pricing, FAQs, that the team manage themselves through custom fields, so adding or changing a tour is an edit rather than a developer job. Live availability and pricing are pulled straight onto the page and the booking platform is embedded directly in the site, kept in sync with their reviews presence, so a customer sees real, current availability and books in context instead of being bounced out to a disconnected page.
The result
A site that feels as premium as the experience it sells, and takes high-value bookings directly rather than leaning on a marketplace that takes a cut and owns the customer. The team extend it themselves as the range grows.
What to take from it
For a considered, high-value purchase, the booking is part of the experience, not a step bolted on after it. Whatever tool runs your bookings, the win is embedding it into the page you have built, so a customer never has to leave the story to book. The moment they get pulled out to somewhere disconnected, the feeling you spent the whole page building starts to drain away.
