Cycliq

Cycliq sell worldwide through a store for each region, in multiple currencies. A switcher that drops a customer into the right place, in the right currency, is one of those things nobody notices when it works and everyone notices when it doesn’t. Theirs had grown into a scattered set of native pickers that each behaved a little differently depending on where you found them.

What we did

We replaced the lot with a single country and currency switcher that behaves the same across the whole estate. It is one piece of code rather than several native pickers each doing their own thing, so a customer gets the same clear choice wherever they are, and the team have one thing to reason about instead of a handful.

The result

Customers move to the right regional store and currency without friction, and the switcher reads as a deliberate part of the brand rather than a default control that looks slightly off on every page. Behind the scenes it is one system to maintain.

What to take from it

On a multi-region store the small navigation pieces carry more weight than they look like they should, because a customer stuck in the wrong currency is a customer already half-deciding to leave. It is worth making the switch feel like a designed part of the store rather than whatever the platform hands you by default.
