What we did

Where they started

Liquid+ sells one product, a gut-health drink, almost entirely on subscription through Skio. The business runs on subscribers, but the subscription experience didn’t feel like the brand: the portal was stock, changing pack size or flavour wasn’t self-serve, and the product page didn’t do the product justice.

How we worked together

A series of scoped builds across the whole subscription surface. The Skio customer portal rebranded and configured end to end, with swap, skip, pause, and promo actions all styled to the brand. A personalised journey widget showing each subscriber where they are in their 90-day journey, driven by their real subscription data through a custom app-proxy backend. In-portal upgrade and flavour-swap banners that read each customer’s actual subscription and offer the right next step, rebuilt on Skio’s customer-scoped SDK so they work identically under every login method. A “Give 20%, Get 20%” referral programme configured and styled across the portal, share flow, and rewards pages.

On the storefront, a rebuilt product page: new gallery with per-variant media, custom flavour picker tiles, and a tabbed nutrition drawer with full facts panels for each flavour, unified across the PDP and every landing-page embed. Then the second flavour launched end to end: variants, selling plans, and per-flavour media, all shipped for launch day.

What changed

Subscribers now manage everything themselves inside a portal that looks and feels like Liquid+: swap flavours, upsize, skip, refer a friend. The second flavour is live and selling on the store the same day it launched, and the whole system hands over cleanly: subscription logic in Skio, storefront in the theme, and nothing bespoke left running that the team can’t see.

Notes from this work

The tracking button with no setting to change. An order tracking page that stays on your Shopify store. An upsell that works no matter how the customer logged in. The subscription widget the app couldn't show. Your Shopify product shows sold out, but it's in stock. A new variant goes public the moment you save it. Shopify product images that change with the variant. A picker that looks designed and still behaves like Shopify.
